Where, When, What, Which

We are all going to Hoontoon Island State Park located north-north-east of Orlando. As the name suggests, it is an island and so the camp sites are accessible only through a ferry. We will be cut off from the outside world for two days. It is supposed to be one of the more natural Camping Sites in Florida.
Please Google/Bing for more information.

We should be at the park around 2PM on November 26th and leave around noon on November 28th.

I have currently booked 4 Tent Sites and 3 Cabins.
Total Amount spent on the bookings come to $387.
Not bad for two days of stay.

We can pitch 8 tents in the four tent sites. I recommend people without tents to purchase one to experience and appreciate the art of Camping.

The Cabins are NOT reserved for any ONE family in particular.
At least 18 people can stay in the Cabins.
Let us keep it civil and fair.

Let me reiterate that the Cabins are primitive unlike the one we had last time.

I hope we all have a great time .....

  8. I bought 2 of these Queen Size Airbeds from Amazon.com for $26 each. Comes with Hand Pumps. No electrical outlets in the Camp. 1 electrical outlet in Cabin. Seems to be the best bet for Camping. Reviews look good.

  9. All,

We are only 2 weeks away from the fun camping trip. I see lots of sale going on in Walmart for gas stoves and winter clothing.

    Any other ideas/plan for food?
